Sale Information
This will be a limited auction
private treaty sale. Bidders can
contact Hook Farms via email
(preferred) or by phone to place
their bids. Bidding will be done
in $100 increments. Starting
bids will be listed by the
bulls. If only one person bids
on a given bull, they will
purchase the animal for the base
price. Bidding will conclude at
5:00 pm on February 6, 2009.
Payment is to be made at the
conclusion of the sale.
Hook Farms guarantees the
integrity of the bidding
process. Our goal is to
represent our cattle honestly
and to arrive at fair market
value for our genetics. No
"running" of a bidder will take
place.
Hook Farms' integrity is worth
more to our family than any
dishonest monetary gain. Sight
unseen purchases are guaranteed
to the buyers satisfaction.

Hook Farms strives to provide
the most current and accurate
data to assist in your bull
buying decision. While actual
data and ratios are important,
the EPDs provide the most
accurate prediction of the
animal’s genetic merit for a
given trait. Instead of focusing
on the particular value for a
trait, we strongly recommend
comparing the animals percentile
rank relative to the rest of the
Simmental population. We believe
this will assist you in
selecting bulls to move your
herd in the genetic direction
you are striving to achieve. The
API and TI Indexes give you a
good barometer of how the bulls
will perform on a dollar basis
relative to keeping replacement
and/or producing terminal
offspring. Please take time to
read the bull buyers quick guide
to EPDs as well as using the
percentile table provided.
